Anderlecht joins race for Torino winger Alieu Njie

🇧🇪 20 June 2026

RSC Anderlecht have entered the race for Torino’s 21‑year‑old left winger Alieu Njie, who is under contract until 30 June 2029, with the Belgian side eyeing a season‑long loan for the Swedish‑Gambian international next campaign. He has already recorded one goal and one assist in nine Serie A appearances this season, and his market value is listed at €3 million on Transfermarkt.

Lecce appear to be the frontrunner for Njie's signature, although no deal has been concluded. Earlier this month, the Torino winger was also linked with Cercle Brugge, AS Monaco, Genoa and AZ Alkmaar.

Transfer specialist Ben Jacobs noted that Cercle Brugge are closely monitoring Njie's performances. While some reports list the winger as 21, Jacobs referred to him as a 20‑year‑old Swedish player born in Stora Tuna who also holds a Gambian passport.

Clubs from England are also tracking the prospect, with Stoke City, Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers named among the suitors. The interest spans both Premier League and Championship sides, adding further competition for Anderlecht and Cercle Brugge.

Transfermarkt currently values Njie at €2.5 million, slightly lower than the €3 million figure cited earlier. His nine‑match tally of one goal and one decisive pass underscores his growing reputation in Serie A.

Cercle Brugge will need to secure a place in the Belgian top‑12 to pursue the transfer more confidently. A drop in league standing could force the club to abandon the pursuit.
