Barcelona eyeing Vlahovic as Torres' future clouds striker plans
Today, Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic has formally offered himself to FC Barcelona, after his contract with Juventus is set to expire and he has not yet answered the club's new contract proposal this week.
Barcelona's priority in the striker position currently lies elsewhere, with the club focusing on signing Argentine international Julian Álvarez as the main candidate to replace the departed Robert Lewandowski.
Ferran Torres is also linked with a possible summer departure from Barcelona, which could open a spot for Vlahovic as an alternative.
Juventus, known as "De Oude Dame", has presented Vlahovic with a new contract, but the Serbian forward has not responded, leaving his future uncertain.
Vlahovic's willingness to join Barcelona is driven by the desire to remain at a top club and compete for trophies, according to the report.
The Serbian striker had previously been linked with the Catalans, and his renewed approach signals continued interest from the Barcelona side.
The combination of an uncertain future for Ferran Torres and the expiring Juventus contract makes Vlahovic a plausible alternative for Barcelona's attacking needs.
