Real Madrid Should Reconsider €150m Michael Olise Deal
Florentino Perez has promised Real Madrid supporters a new Galactico worth around €150 million this summer. Recent speculation in Spain points to French winger Michael Olise as the possible target.
Real Madrid already possess a packed attack, with Rodrygo, Brahim Diaz, Franco Mastantuono and Arda Guler providing variety across the front line. Adding Olise would place another player in a squad where minutes are already hard to guarantee.
Rodrygo, despite injury concerns, has delivered in crucial matches and remains one of the most complete attackers in the side. Marginalising him for an expensive signing could prove short‑sighted, while Guler and Mastantuono still need opportunities to develop.
A €150 million price tag would impose a heavy financial burden and create immediate pressure for Olise to perform. The figure suggests the club should target a player who addresses a clear weakness rather than simply adding talent.
Adaptation risk is high; the pressure of playing at the Santiago Bernabéu has already tested Kylian Mbappe. A player bought for that sum will be expected to become a superstar from day one.
Strengthening the midfield appears a more logical priority. A dominant midfielder would improve balance, protect the defence and give Vinicius and Mbappe more freedom.
